TomTi89: When you want to delete some text, do you prefer to place the cursor after it and press backspace, or before it and press delete?

pricero1: I usually start by double-clicking.
imyourskribe: If it’s more than a couple characters, I highlight the text with ctrl+shift+arrow keys and retype over it. Otherwise it just depends on which end of the erroneous text I am. I always strive for fewest keystrokes
Woelf: If it happens as I'm typing it, I usually use backspace. If it's several words deep already, or a couple letters within a longer word, I'll highlight with the mouse and hit delete. On the tablet or phone, I'll click on or near the word at least half a dozen times before it stops highlighting random words nearby and actually figures out that I want the cursor right where I'm pressing.

Jedadeana: I'm ussualy on my tablet or phone, so I just long-press the word with my finger or stylus, then delete. If it's more than a word, then I ussualy press a word somewhere in the middle, then use the little arrow tab things to move out from each side and then delete
