¿Question #227830?
0Shea0: I'm in New Orleans for the week for a work training. What should I do here with any free time I get? I've never been.

TomTi89: I've never been, but I've played a one-shot Call of Cthulhu or similar RPG at a convention once. It was set in New Orleans. We went on a rowing boat and had to hit a crocodile or alligator with the oar. Visited a medium to communicate with the dead. IRL, we made masks for ourselves when the characters went to Mardi Gras. Went to some underground bunker, but I think we started to run out of IRl time. Pretty sure a player character got shot by some cultists. Had a conversation about how to pronounce New Orleans. You could definitely do some, if not all, of that.
mattomaw: Buy a matching set of knobs.
pwilz: I always recommend the World War II museum. The French Quarter is fine, and if you've never been, then you can walk around the touristy districts without much trouble. Cafe Du Monde for beignets, Cafe Maspero for French Onion Soup. You can do the tourist thing and go to Pat O'Briens for your hurricane.
MABBY: One word: "beignets" (figure out how to pronounce it, so you don't sound like a rube, though)-- you lucky duck!
