Jedadeana: The main one is our parents finally meeting (all going out to eat). It will probably be fine..... but they are definitely opposites.... both of my parents are librarians and enjoy things like classical music, antiques, and are more "liberals" while his are people who think books are for wusses/"pussies," think classical music is crap, old things are garbage, and are extreme (and toxic) "Trump types." They have always been polite and nice enough to me, but Mike avoids them as much as possible so we don't see them much (I honestly have no idea how Mike turned out so well with parents like them..... he's incredibly thoughtful, empathetic, very geeky and a dreaded "liberal /feminist".... he even wanted to take my last name since it has always been something I was very proud of, but we are going to create a new hybrid last name instead....haven't told his parents yet.... sigh. Wanted to wait until after our parents both meet to hopefully lessen any "drama")
