¿Question #228275?
Jedadeana: Have you ever seen someone you "knew" on a TV competition without knowing they were competing? (Doesn't have to be a friend, but someone you have interacted with in real life)
PolarDad: A couple kids I went to high school were decent college athletes. I watched them play on tv a time or two. Does that count?
Woelf: No one I've known personally, at least without also knowing they would appear, but there have been a few times where I recognized an actor or actress from ads or other things they'd done prior to getting their first big acting job. Like when LOST first premiered, Kate (Evangeline Lilly) was immediately recognizable from a series of phone sex TV commercials that ran pretty much constantly during late night in the year or two prior.
0Shea0: Wife pointed out a girl on Alone that apparently did the same classes at the gym with us....I still didn't recognize her.
purplewurple: The Mole is a reality tv show/competition featuring Dutch celebrities. I know two Dutch celebrities, a former classmate and a friend of a friend, and they were both participants in the show.
Jedadeana: The only "reality tv" I watch is America's Got Talent, and "Jack the Whipper" just walked on stage! He's been a performer at King Richard's Faire (renn faire) for yeeeaarrrss! He ussually has a silly drawn on curly mustache and does an over the top fake French accent though (guess he wanted to be more serious here?). Honestly his renn faire act is much better, but he did pass the audition to the next rounds so I'm happy for him
