¿Question #228406?
Blinko: Have you collected any autographs and what is your tie in?
Woelf: I've picked up a few random autographs over the years, but none of much significance, and I doubt that I still have any of them. The most memorable was "Leaping" Lanny Poffo, who signed a popcorn box or something. I wanted to get one of the frisbees he threw out.
freechinanow: I’ve got a few autographs, though the only ones I personally received were from the Beastie Boys (RIP MCA), and three members of Frank Zappa’s Mothers of Invention, including Roy Estrada, who is now in prison for being a pedophile. Oh, and I somewhat underhandedly received Bruce Willis’ autograph when he bought stuff at a store I worked at two decades ago and I kept the VISA receipt he signed. (Signed ‘Walter Willis’. How cool is that!) Autographs I’ve come across at shops and thrift stores, my favourites being an LP signed by Ravi Shankar and a book signed by Maurice Sendak. Though to be honestly nerdy, I covet a Star Trek technical manual I found at an antique market signed by the graphic designers of Next Generation, DS9, and Voyager, as that aesthetic is definitely my favourite of all Treks. Oh- and I do have a harmonica signed by James Cotton, because I’m a blues nerd. That one I also got directly, and was happy to because I found out later that he usually told people to fuck off when asked for an autograph, so I’m glad I caught him in a happier moment.
