¿Question #228507?
PolarDad: A BGGer I don't know was reading my recent GeekList about expansions and GeekMailed me about one I said I regretted buying. He wants to know if I'd give it/sell it to him. The expansion was fairly cheap (less than $20 if I remember correctly) as it is simply a deck of cards. In the past, I usually set prices for games/expansions I'm selling by looking them up online and then ask 50% of what they can presently be bought for. This expansion is out of print and I could only find 3 copies available on eBay and BoardGameCo. The prices ranged from $75 to $83. There is NO way I'd ask that much for a small deck of cards even if it is OOP. What would you ask for as compensation?

Derang3d: I saw that list! I'd look at the price history of the Geekmarket and base my price on that. Going below market price is commendable, but when dealing with somebody I've never heard of for an OOP game of decent value? I'd go for 90% of a decent price at the lowest.
Blinko: There is the time and effort of packaging and shipping along with the game itself. I rarely do anything for less than $25.
Woelf: Definitely ask for an offer, but $30-$40 plus shipping for something like that seems pretty reasonable. You get more than you paid, and they get it for less than the going rate.
purplewurple: I'd ask him to make me an offer.
imyourskribe: Your usual method is more than fair. I’d just do that. What’s the expansion?
mattomaw: How about trading it for something with them.
pricero1: If it's not good for you then I'd say $10 + shipping (assuming that the BGGer wants the expansion for play rather than for future trading).
magikaru: $30 plus shipping
