¿Question #228509?
RealGuest: What are the descriptors for your area that are commonly used in local business/organization names?
Derang3d: Randstad (the whole urbanized bit along the coast), Domstad (because of the 112m church tower), "The Green Heart" sort of starts a few miles from here, but most local businesses would probably go for "Close to Utrecht".
Woelf: There are quite a few businesses and such with "NEW" in their names, for "North East Wisconsin". It's always funny hearing references to things like the "NEW Zoo", which has existed since the '50s.
RealGuest: Heartland, Great Plains, Star City, Husker, Capital/Capitol, and Midwest are a few
imyourskribe: Lobster this. Lobster that. There’s a town north of Austin called Pflugerville. Every single business there, at least 10 years when I last drove through, was called Pf*. Pfun Spot. Pfunkytown. Pflowers and More. Pfuck that.
