rayzg: My brother bought himself a $4k espresso machine and $4k grinder to go along with it. He makes the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. All those “fake” flavours they list on coffee bags I can actually taste now! What have you purchased recently that was ridiculously expensive but is definitely worth it to you?

rayzg: @magikaru, yes he got himself a Lagom P100 Flat Burr Grinder.
imyourskribe: @matt, we have Magnum here too. Both ice cream and condoms. My biggest purchase was airfare and lodging for a trip to London. I guess I’ll tell you after Thanksgiving if it was worth it.

BOBBYCAN: A clock radio for $26 at Walmart yesterday. Okay, I suppose that doesn't really compare to an eight thousand dollar coffee machine, but it did set the time itself when I plugged it in!
mattomaw: A magnum ice-cream. You can probably only get them in the UK and Ireland. Just a basic ice-cream on a stick thing. 4 poxy euro! They used to be 1 euro not long ago.
Woelf: A car, but that was over a year ago at this point.
