¿Question #228976?
magikaru: Anyone got a list of communities that BGG has unceremoniously murdered?
imyourskribe: Don’t get me started on BGG.
Woelf: I was never entirely sure what the Beatnik Coffee House was, but that's another for the list.
PolarDad: GeekChat was the first I knew. RSP forum. What was that weird little backroom that let you see a live feed of people logging plays? It had a little chat box as well. GeekQuestions have been given a death sentence though we're still kicking. Geek Market has a couple weeks. I still say Guilds will be axed in the near future.
Derang3d: *following* Addit: LSotW as well, and that didn't even get a post or anything, it just fucking stopped.
RealGuest: RSP got relegated to a guild after threatening to axe it. Geek of the Week has been ended. The layout of the front page has really changed what is prominent and the face of the community. The logo. The way the forums are moderated. The lack of response to legitimate concerns by users. The database itself not being cared for properly with strange choices in when games get multiple entries and how they are named, etc. Derk seemingly being thrown out on his ear. The signs of an uncaring autocracy have been there for a long time.
magikaru: Geekchat, GQ (although we are ninja sneaking and still alive), and GeekMarket was announced recently. Am I missing any?
oriecat: PD mentioned before that they killed the GeekChat community.
