¿Question #229380?
imyourskribe: Do I need to hunt down a copy of San Juan to play in Puerto Rico? I don’t like the game Puerto Rico, so none of that business here, please.

PolarDad: Forget all that and put a Lacerda game on the table already!
pwilz: Just play a good game, like Terraforming Mars, while listening to that song 'Rico Suave.'
imyourskribe: To all those citing Race for the Galaxy, Puerto Rico isn’t in space. Though Race is vastly superior to San Juan.
rayzg: According to https://www.pagat.com/national/puertorico.html "he most popular games are Brisca and Ocho Locos (the local version of Crazy Eights)."
Derang3d: I thought I was the only one! Do like RFTG tho. Preferably with toyshop.
Blinko: Why not go to Saint Petersburg, game is more interesting.
MABBY: Yes. San Juan is a fun and breezy game compared to PR. It also has FAR fewer components to get lost.
Woelf: There's also a Monopoly: Puerto Rico, if a copy of San Juan is too hard to track down.
Jedadeana: I have Race for the Galaxy, which is "the same game"* but with cards and in space (* I have been told that it is the same thing by many people even though they feel very different to me. San Juan also feels pretty different to me and I think I prefer Race or Roll for the Galaxy more, but if you want a more involved space themed Puerto Rico, then look at "New Frontiers")
mattomaw: If you don't like Puerto Rico you probably won't like San Juan I imagine. They are kinda the same at heart.
