purplewurple: The Sundered Land Game 35 [9]. The animal is not as solid as it looks. As soon as I swing my leg over its back, I hear the hissing of air escaping, and when I sit down a large expulsion of gas drowns out even the sound of the grotesques still hammering away at the workshop gate. I still decide to ride the camel. I need to get away quickly, not just to escape the malformed pod dwellers, but to get out of the cold before my Heatpak fails. I ride on, finding my way between luminescent constructions of metal and glass. The humps are the first to deflate, accompanied by fart noises with every rocking step. The head is next, squeaking the entire time, but incredibly the beast keeps going. Only when the legs empty out their air with a burp and a fizz does the camel collapse, and I have to abandon it at the foot of a cellpod stack. If the grotesques have decided to give chase, they will surely catch up with me before I reach the last of the Hybernation Cradles. But I'm more worried about the Knights Custodian, who have surely been alerted by my loud exit. I decide to climb the nearest pod tower, to see which way might be safe. What do I see when I reach the top?
