¿Question #229429?
PolarDad: I think I've discussed this before but I can't find my previous GQ to link. As teacher we have workplace compliance videos we must watch each year. There are quizzes at the end of each video that you must pass. Each video is between 20 minutes and an hour. It takes forever and is incredibly boring. We watch the same videos every year. No, you can skip the videos and go straight to the quizzes. It won't allow it. These are the topics of the videos...Alcohol, Tobacco, and Drug Awareness; Autism; Bloodborne Pathogens; Bullying; Child Abuse; Diabetes Awareness; Digital Teaching/Learning; Diversity Training; Dyslexia; FERPA; Hazard Communications; Human Trafficking; Mental Health; Needs of Students; and Suicide Awareness. Does your workplace have similar annual workplace training?
rayzg: Yes, I watch similar videos at work, but the videos are different each year.
pricero1: In addition to the above I have to do "Prevent: safeguarding vulnerable people from being radicalised to supporting terrorism or becoming terrorists themselves".
Chris%20Page: So is the Mental Health video targetted at the people who've had to suffer through the other fourteen videos?
0Shea0: weird....it's like we have the same job!
Jedadeana: My last few jobs did, I think that was a newer thing overall though, especially for the CPR that way instead of in person during the start of COVID-19. Other jobs did more hands-on workshops during weeklong training. But... your list.... human trafficking??? At schools??? Yikes.... a lot of the rest you mentioned are normal/regular for museum education and summer camps too

Woelf: The people who work in the shop have to watch OSHA videos every year. I haven't had to.
magikaru: Yep
pwilz: Oh, yes we do.
