¿Question #229437?
Derang3d: How much research do you put into a book before you read it the first time? How much after?

rayzg: As all the books I read I borrow from the library, I put almost no research into the books I read (as all the books I read are essentially free -- and digital -- so they don't take up any physical space.
Woelf: I usually hear about it elsewhere, then look up a few basic things about it before deciding if I want to read it or not.
Derang3d: I try to not read anything but the preface, and will only occasionally read additional material afterwards to see what I missed. I don't even like reading the back cover (for spoilers).
BOBBYCAN: I usually just read the blurb.
PolarDad: 0
pricero1: As I get books from libraries, I don't need to spend too long researching before I read. Some books do make me interested in a topic that I'll research afterwards.
