¿Question #229565?
purplewurple: If you look up a YouTube tutorial on something you need help with, would you rather the YouTuber be an expert at doing the task or an expert at making videos, or 50-50, or where would your ideal skill division be?

PolarDad: Expert at task
TheGrimReeple: Expert at teaching, competent at the task in question. Their video skills only need to be good enough to not get in the way of communicating.
xofour: The more they know...
Derang3d: Hmm, I'd prefer if they actually know what they're doing on the thing they're showing, and know at least enough on the YT side to not fuck up royally. So 90/10 seems good enough. Otoh, an expert in anything isn't the same as a good teacher of that thing, so... I suppose that counts as well.
MABBY: 50/50 seems like a good mix. I watched almost an hour of this guy showing us how to carve a letter R in stone and he kept blocking the camera. :-) "Hi Matt!!"
mattomaw: I would not care as long as it was comprehensive and the person knew what they are on about.
