PolarDad: I need some fresh chives to go with my dinner. I went to the store and grabbed some but when I got home, I noticed that I grabbed the wrong container. Can anyone give me a handful of chives, please?

Woelf: Chives and cilantro are basically the same thing, right? Just use what you got!

PolarDad: @Robin-It was so much confusing something for chives. They were all out of fresh chives. I looked through the rest of the greens section. I found these little tubs (just a bit larger than a golf ball) of over priced, dried herbs. I found chives but when I grabbed one, three others came with it. At first, I thought maybe it was a combo pack. I didn't want that many so I put it back. Looking at it a bit more, I decided they intend looked like they would sold separately. I pulled it back off the shelf and found they just popped about from each other. The bases just fit so snugly in the lid of the others that they appeared a multi-pack. Anyway, in popping them apart, I failed to notice that they weren't all chives in the stack. What I brought home was "Italian Herbs" which I do intend to use later this week with another meal...but they aren't the chives I needed.
pricero1: What did you confuse chives with?
Derang3d: I don't have any - but plenty thyme!
RealGuest: We've got plenty out back in the garden. I've mowed them down more than once this year, so feel free to take all you want.
