¿Question #229740?
mattomaw: Matt's understanding America questions. #2 - Eggs (cont). What are eggs over easy?

MABBY: Fried eggs that have been flipped once, for the final 5 - 10 seconds. Depending on the temperature of the pan and how long they are flipped for, there could still be slimy bits of white, but the yolks will be runny.
Woelf: Fried but only flipped once right near the end I guess? I've heard it, but never actually tried to determine exactly what it means.
PolarDad: Sunny side up-Egg fried only until whites are cooked, not flipped, yolk runny; Over easy-Egg fried until whites are cook, flipped very "easy" to not pop the yolk, cooked very briefly to give yolk a bit of a skin, yolks inside still very runny; Over medium-Egg fried until whites cooked, flipped, yolk cooked more solid but still has some runny; Over hard (my preference) whites cooked, break yolk, flipped, cook yolk completely
pricero1: Where you turn over the frying egg so the top of the yolk gets cooked. (What a terrible thing to do to a fried egg.)
Derang3d: When they're very round, so they roll over easy.
