¿Question #229781?
purplewurple: In your line of work, is it better to work quickly and fix mistakes later, or carefully so you don’t make any?

Jedadeana: From what I understand Kickstarter somehow does both by being slow and then sending out corrections even slower later on. (My line of work isn't Kickstarter, but it was my first thought. I work with museums and children and crafts, so all those need to be more careful even when sometimes quicker)
mattomaw: As I explained. You do not make mistakes.
pricero1: Work quickly and have underlings to take the rap for any mistakes.
ocdspectrum: The latter.
PolarDad: My bosses tell me to work quickly and don't make mistakes.
0Shea0: Schools get a new batch of new kids every year. What's the big deal if you screw one up here and there?!
Blinko: I don’t like to make mistakes, writing checks for $100k versus $10k, big difference. But I sure as heck don’t sweat the small stuff.
Grimsalt: Nurses come hard boil trained, but HR wants us to scramble without breaks. It's a question of managing eggspectations.
pwilz: I'd be able to give a good answer to this qwestion if I made mistakes.
imyourskribe: Depends on the field. Medical devices and aerospace = work slowly. Pretty much everywhere else = break things and worry about it later
