PolarDad: Good morning. Daughter #2 came home last night and burned popcorn in the microwave so bad that smoke was pouring out of it. Our house still reeks of burnt popcorn this morning. Ugh. What was the first smell that caught your attention today?

MABBY: I empathize with you. That smell will hang around for at least a week; it's really awful.
TheGrimReeple: Aside from the alley's familiar scent of urine? Coffee.
TomTi89: Nothing particular. Nothing out of the ordinary. Maybe I shall also burn something just to smell it too, and to show solidarity.
