¿Question #229882?
Jedadeana: Which game(s) you never thought you'd own, but then lucked out and found it really cheap or got for free?
sparkous: Castellion : 2 euros in a flea market.
PolarDad: Roads and Boats. Van is A.W.E.S.O.M.E.!
RealGuest: Probably Food Chain Magnate. I had it very kindly gifted to me. Might never have played it otherwise. Now it's among my favorites.
purplewurple: Wow; I have a copy of Glory to Rome, bought at retail price. I should bring it to the US and sell it! I got a bunch of expensive games like Ankh when I married Stephanie, and I got games in math trades, like Battles for Westeros, that went for way more than the games I put in.
0Shea0: Everything vs. Everything. Hand made copy.
Woelf: I wouldn't have looked at Nightmare Cathedral twice if I hadn't won it in a BGG contest. It's not here yet, but so far it sounds like it'll be a pretty good game. I never would have purchased a SpongeBob game on my own, but the copy I won (also from BGG) a couple years ago turned out to be super fun to play too.
mattomaw: Cleopatra and the Society of Architects and Merchants of the Dark Road. Both won on BGG competitions.
ocdspectrum: Hmmm, I'm a sucker for buying new, but I did trade about $180 worth of games for a copy of Glory to Rome (which is going for twice that).
Derang3d: Indonesia ^^".
Jedadeana: As mentioned, just got Gloomhaven for $6(!!!) in that local game auction (and lots of other great deals), and years ago I was given Spirit Island for free
