rayzg: My brother gave me one of his high-end road bicycles. It didn’t come with pedals, so I installed really old and cheap metal ones (I think they might be heavier than the bike itself). What object have you upgraded or repaired recently with parts of much lower cost and quality?

Woelf: I fixed a broken piece of my daughter's glasses with blue painter's tape a few days ago. It's held up surprisingly well.
