puffinge: Can you tell a good GeekQuestion from a bad one by comparing the number of people who answer it to the number who choose never answer?

RealGuest: That might be one measure, but I have used never answer to "park" questions that I think are good and deserve some thought. Probably an outlier, but could skew things.

Randy Cox: Can you still see "never answer" figures? All I see is how many answered it, and that does help to tell if it's a reasonable question.

2amp: no, a question could have numerous 'non-answers' where they go on about spelling, or say 'fnord' or 'lalala' or even 'never answer'

puffinge: I think this is a decent way to tell. Even if some people answer a question only to insult the asker, at least the question struck some nerve in them. If almost everyone says never answer, that's a bad sign for a question.

erli: A good question has more than two words, ends with a question mark, and encourages an involved answer from the victim. In other words, I don't look at the numbers. I just answer the question.
