¿Question #2446?
ekh_86: If a game falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it, is it really available for trade?

Woelf: There is no correlation to be found for or against the suggestion you're making.
Narlgoth: As long as its on the marketplace I think you're good.
Felimid: Either that or freethrifting.
Geeky_Farmer: No, but it is fair game to the deaf person walking behind you!
Blott: Only if JeffyJeff's OLWLG is able to recognize its game id number.
Zebu_Alex: No
guysoffer: If it fell down and no one was around to hear it, it must have been dropped by a deaf person :) now the only questions is - does he want to trade it ?
xofour: and more significantly what condition do you list it as?
Paladin_fin: And if it hits a mime, does anyone care?
baub64: only if the geek has checked the site within the last 2 weeks
cgund: ..
TheKeck: Who said it was available for trade?
42ndSSD: Trick question. Games are never heard in the forest, whether anyone is around or not. Therefore, by Mackenzie's Paradox, it is not really available for trade unless a secondary condition can be established.
echdareez: If you know of any forest that has those falling games, you know where to find me...
TheArchAngel: why not?
Benzebub: Only for sheep.
WalkerRedEye: no small woodland creatures use it for bedding
DHEK: It's available for the taking. No need for trade, even.
doc_bean: No, it's free. finders keepers.
Quixote171: I hope none of the components were damaged in the fall.
berserkley: it's the sound of one geek trading...
ColtsFan76: no - just take it
eddyspaghetti: Not if I get there first!
malloc: only if it is caylus
jmrichar: I'm guessing there might be a delay in shipping.
POvidiusNaso: Probably not.
onky: Yes, but never when there's a full moon in my pants.
aleo09: yes
MightyMike: Depends on how long the fall was. And what kind of trees form the forest.
ZiggyZambo: sure................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. ...................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... ...............................................................................
Asmoridin: Yes 8-)
terKo: Yes.
DLWormwood: yes
MaksimSmelchak: Talisman, Cosmic Encounter and Robo-Rally.
anonInternetName: Yes
greglios: Yes
SisyphusX: Nope. Nobody owns it if it just fell in the forest. (Besides, it's probably at least not mint any more.)
Cromaa: I hope so...that's the one I've been waiting for
XenoMaster: No
slappinjoe: absolutely
JackRandom: no
bigbadsteve: it very well could be
brainrob: No - it's mine
scriptorum: Not the funniest "falls in the forest" joke I've heard.
korppu: No, it's in the forest
Fawkes: That makes no sense.
Felderin: Sometimes.
Igloo cool: If there are no people around, then how can it be traded?
Loquutus: huh?
Mike A: I smell the start of the Ultimate Geocache Trade.
vetinari7878: Definitely not.
ZombyDawg: Until observed it is only a wave of possibilities. Once observed the wave funtion will collapse an it will exsist as a game.
LesterKlew: I don't understand the question.
GrandpaDave: Yes
Jackwraith: Yes.
Belash: yes and its expansions
sourwyrm: ditto to finders keepers
CharlieWonka: No it becomes Finders Keepers
MisterCranky: No, but it will get quite moldy
Lord_Prussian: Finders keepers
The Unbeliever: 42
Redneon: I think so.
darthcliff: heh heh . . . good one
erli: Na, just for bears to poop on
Ivan: Obviously if no one is around to hear it (and it doesn't have legs) its not available for trade until someone comes into range, hears it in distress, pickes it up and adds it to their trade pile!
tragicpoet: Trade schmade. No one's around.. it's mine.
skelebone: Trade? Hell, just grab it up.
snoozefest: only if you get it and it's in good shape
ValJor: Finders keepers
2amp: no, one one there to trade with
WasQ: no, is a Lost Treasure. (he!)
Spielfreak: Shh, hush up Elmer, I thought I done heard somethin'. Lookie here, it's an unpunched copy of Outdoor Survival! But there's some mumblin' comin' from it. By golly, it's TALKIN'!! It's sayin': "Har Har! Hear me, aid me, now you can't trade me" Quick, gimme my shotgun...
CDRodeffer: Yes!
AlorielLelyn: Possibly
chaddyboy_2000: Just because a game falls doesn't mean it's available for trade.
gnomehome: What height did it fall from ?
nexttothemoon: Well fallen cardboard (driven off the board game shelf and into the bottom of the closet with the stripey green and brown socks and speedos from 1987) is still good trade fodder as long as it can be found and hauled to the lumber yard (BGG site) before it reaches the wood chipper (thrift store).
jttm: If no one is around, how do you know the game fell? It could still be hovering
CortexBomb: I think it's not only available for trade, it's available for plunder
djlg: No.
Nomadik: Yes it is. Go find it
