spartax: Hmm. I'd far prefer interacting with R2, but for watching in a movie, 3PO is very good. I think that Bottle Bottle - I mean Jar Jar - was supposed to be a 3PO-like annoyance. Trouble is, no one was very annoyed with him, whereas 3PO got on everyone's nerves. "Hurry up, Goldenrod, or you're gonna be a permanent resident!"

RobotFan: Artoo Deetoo. He is my favorite cinematic robot ever. Great non humanoid look (which matters a great deal to me when judging such things), lots of screen time, very imaginative in function. Compare him now to See Threepeeo. Humanoid appearence (yeech), virtually NO unique and special robotic abilities (beyond speaking 6 million languages, although how special is that really?), far less screentime overall, onscreen his performances are farcicle. However, I see C-3PO largely as an extension to R2-D2 and therefore very intrigal to the appeal of the domed droid. Therefore I love both robots.
