puffinge: When you don't know much about the topic of a question, have you ever considered googling it or checking some other users answers for some insight rather than just typing 'n/a' or 'I don't know that' or '??'?

DHEK: I considered that, but I decided not to. This is because I answer questions as if they were asked to me in person and I can't go around googling for info and then reading up on it and doing research of all sorts before coming back to answer the asker. Besides, the onus is on the asker to provide enough information if he wants his question to get proper answers.

puffinge: I do this sometimes, then if I know nothing about the topic, I either skip the quesion (hehe) or type something inane. And sometimes I even find I know something about the topic and can answer intelligently.
