sprice06: Reprints, I get to read those without worrying about creasing a page (comic) or damaging some expensive game.

Cringing Dragon: If the reprint includes revised rules, then generally the reprint (for playability anyway). Otherwise the original (generally better resale value).
Numerous: Reprints often fix some editing mistakes or "oopses
ricardochriste: In terms of box/manuals/components design, I'd say reprints usually get better treatment than originals. In terms of gameplay, rulesets and such, it depends; if the reprint is carried out by the same publisher who did the original issue, most likely there will be improvements. A different publishing company relaunching a game might bring out good stuff OR might take the game in undesirable directions.
Chipps: Depends on which one is superior.
RaDiKal: If the original wasn't good, there never would have been a reprint.

ZeroZilla: Generally, the reprints. Occasionally, though, this is SERIOUSLY not the case, and that leaves room for doubt.
BUDDA: reprints, at least you can handle them
atrium: Often a reprint gives the publisher a chance to correct errors or balance issues.
Majiken: Lately a lot of reprints have been superior. Britannia is a good example.

Russ G.: In comics, generally the original, unless it is a Marvel Mastwerworks or DC Archive copy. Games - well, depends on who is doing the re-issue. TSR did well with the SPI re-issues.
