Spielfreak: What one word would you use to describe the work of Thurl Ravenscroft?

I thought I was the only one who knew about Thurl Ravenscorft- most famously known as the voice of Tony the Tiger and the singing narrator of 'The Grinch...' (though he wasn't credited and Burl Ives took most of the credit). Whenever there is a super deep voice in a Disney film from the 1940s to 60s- that's Thurl! One of my favourite obscure voice character actors. Really, I only looked him up because of his awesome name in the credits of Pinocchio.
