MamaRat: Twice. The dress I wore to my boyfriend's brother's wedding, and a CZ-covered tiara and earrings for a Halloween costume (I went as Holly Golightly). In my defense, I was a starving college kid when both of these instances occurred, and all items were returned in PERFECT condition.
danafarr: Yes, but not to cheat the store. Sometimes it breaks right away. My Christmas lights only lasted a couple of days this year. Half of the bulbs gave out on several sets, so I returned them. I did feel kind of guilty though.
