¿Question #279?
TD2008YDS: Would you leave your wife/girlfriend if she told you she didnt want you playing games anymore?

sparkous: my wife is a gamer ... the question does not arise
ocdspectrum: No, but I would sneak out and play them anyway.
Woelf: An ultimatum like that doesn't just come out of the blue, so if that were to happen there would certainly be a wide variety of other major marital issues involved, and that's far to complex (and unlikely) of a situation to base the decision to leave only on that one thing.
oldhoss: No, but it would't happen. She might say she doesn't want me buying any more games, but playing them is not a problem.
BOBBYCAN: That would be somewhat harsh.
falafel007: No, but I would be very sad
Caerid: . . . I. . . I . . . huh. Yes.
bcooperok: Nah. She wouldn't mean it.
Yugblad: yes
Felimid: Nope. I wouldn't be happy about it ... but choosing my girlfriend over gameplaying is a no-brainer.
ricardofo: No. I will ask him not to cook anymore and she would repent and let me play games.
CptRavage: nope
Lori713: Replacing wife/girlfriend with husband/boyfriend: No.
aleo09: no, but she wouldn't say that,
dogzard: Never. Thankfully, she loves to play games too.
ValerieF: I would totally leave a partner if he'd want to control anything like that. I get to choose playing games, hanging out with people, what I like to do in general, if he can't accept that, he doesn't accept me, therefor can't really love me and therefor I have no reason to be with him to begin with. I'm very extreme in that, it's take it or leave it, the whole package, including annoying quirks like games ;)
Inwardpanic: ye
personwholives: Umm....that would assume that I had one right now......
DHEK: Of course not! That's a little too much, isn't it?!
jruddy: No, I'd challenge her to a game of Scrabble!
blicko: She wouldn't have been my wife/girlfriend in the first place if she didn't accept my gaming habits! But if that wasn't the case, I guess not. I figure I have a lifetime to try and win her over.
zonk67: No, but I would send her to counseling.
jhenke: It would be crushing and I don't honestly know. If we substituted games for a fantastic and world building love, yes. If it was a matter of control, not a shot; I'll take the ultimatium, because I'll live afterwards and I'll still enjoy life. If my games took away from the love of my life, I'd give them up, but I'd really hope she'd play with me :) --I want a smart, attractive, lively lady who loves life, thinking, creativity, has brains, guts, personality, loves to have fun together, and isn't afraid of winning.
POvidiusNaso: Nah, but I wouldn't take her seriously.
Geosmores: nope
ZeroZilla: Death first! (before I leave her, that is)
Joe Hermsen: totally bummed out
szilaj: I gave up kung-fu after 9 years. Gave up chess after 10 years. After that my girl tricked me w. one of my friends. I'll never give up anything for a bitch.

skrutsch: I hope not.
Belash: no
Karlsen: Not going to happen. I married a gamer :-)
scriptorum: When would she get a chance to talk to me in between all these games I'm playing? I'm busy!

gamer-stu: Never.
sdownin: I'll jump off that bridge when I get to it.
Salt-Man Z: No.
puffinge: I would say, I plan to continue playing games, would you like me to leave you?
kracken: Wife? No. GF? Maybe...
Windopaene: No. But I'd be so surly, she'd divorce me anyway

Spielfreak: no
haraggan: No, but I'd play games and pretend to be working late
geberus: yes
sos1: She left me long ago, even though I gave up gaming for seven years for her
m_r_tyler: No, but I might become a miserable person for her to live with.
Blackwind: no..I wouldn't have met someone that didnt like games.
AngusBull: No, but that doesn't mean I'd stop playing either.
Bluenose: No, but I'd use her corpse as a seat for my gaming mates; she's a big lass...
BrokenNails_NZ: No
Steve Leach: I think I would have to.
darquil: No.
Chump: No, but I wouldn't stop playing either ...

netfilterz: No
jttm: Yes
djlg: No. (But I wouldn't stop playing games either.)
silverpenny: No. But that won't happen.
manowarplayer: No.
scribidinus: I think if I ignored her long enough it would be a self-correcting problem. War gamers are harder to find than women anyway.
TragicHeroBC: Hell no, although I would be saddened.
kimbo: Probably.
simon craddock: No
Gelatinous Goo: no, but I wouldn't stop gaming either--she's just going to have to ease up
seppo21: That would mean she didn't want to play games anymore. That is a scary change of mental status. I would be more worried about that than the bizarre pronouncement.
Magnus the Blue: No, because I could just spend more time in bars & strip clubs...
CheetohFingers: no
TamiWhitsett: um... since I have neither wife nor girlfriend and never will, no. As a woman, I'd never say that to a man. In fact, I only date game geeks.

tragicpoet: No, I like games but come on.
ValJor: She would never do such a thing... Better not!
Friendless: Hell yeah. What sort of bitch would she be to say that?
janiera: I can't say that to my wife/girlfriend, as I am the wife, but no I would not leave my husband for any reason whatsoever.
Fawkes: If she was like that I wouldn't have married her in the first place. :)
EYE of NiGHT: No. And I wouldn't stop playing either. This is purely theoretical, right?

Ebon Wendigo: No
nix342: No
MisterCranky: Yeah, I'd leave her every time I wanted to play a game. Then I'd come back later and pretend I hadn't.
