¿Question #2831?
puffinge: If you host a session, do you encourage people to bring their young children?
Jubiltz: I'm the one that hosts our gaming groups and many of them have kids. However, I request that they try not to bring their kids if possible because they can be distracting at times. If they are unable to get a babysitter then I would rather they show up than not. We only meet once a month so it's not too much to ask in my opinion.
Woelf: Generally no, because if they don't bring their own we have to share ours.
MisterCranky: So if I understand it correctly, taking the time to type this answer in by hand over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over is somehow more meaningful than just letting Selenium do it for me?
joetee: If it is an exorcism session, then I recommend they keep the kids at home...
Teddy HL: No, I usually don't. My friends don't really have the social skills to get in a committed relationship, let alone have kids.
Felimid: Depends on the age of the children. Old enough to play boardgames? Bring 'em. Not old enough to? Might need another room for non-yet-old-enough-to-game youngsters and their parents or babysitters.
Spirit of 70: No.
xofour: How vague can you get. Mot don't have children, but I figure the more the merrie.r
forthur: Depends on the rest of the group. Usually yes, as long as the kids are old enough to play - Blokus, Tsuro, and No Thanks! are good for 5+.
jessitron: the more kids, the more they distract each other
J.L.Robert: Provided they are well-behaved.
Polgara: no
Blott: No
ellephai: I don't, but if I did... NO. Not no, but hell no!
Azog: No, I'd prefer they left you at home.
atrium: not really
Numskull: I don't, and I wouldn't.
jpat: Sure. I've got some.
MotUfan: Oh, yes, and I ask them to please bring finger paints too.
lostintheverse: Yes. I encourage them to bring other people's children too
Benzebub: Yes.
DHEK: Nope. That's because we don't have any games for little kids, and they'll just be distrancting.
hacksword: No, kids carry germs
diemacher: No, unless someone can keep them entertained
Leo-T: Only if they're cooked & served with a dipping sauce.
casrina: no, the opposite. Children should be seen, not heard.
jcarvin: Yes
aleo09: encourage No, does it happen, yes
Geosmores: no
LuXo: What kind of pervert you are???
Greedo: Never. Children and games NEVER mix.
Chrisp1961: No. Nooooo. But they might show up anyway :-).
Gecko23: Sure, they can keep mine entertained.
Son of Murray: If my friends had young children, then sure!
vampywife: no, my house isn't childproofed, but if they must, i don't discourage them.
Nekura: No
Shotmagnet: yes, they make great snacks
scribidinus: Are you nuts?
joebelanger: Yes, but I really don't mean it.
Helenoftroy: Sure because I will have my two boys but normally no one has kids.
Big Bad Lex: Er....yes and guns and rabid dogs and dynamite and snacks. DERRRR!
kevinwho: Oh heck no, but they bring them anyway. Adorable kids, but by jove, when I invite people over to play games, I want to play games, not sit at a table waiting while someone else tries to entertain/distract their kids.
starbug: No -- I don't know where to put them and I don't have a child-proof house.
Great Dane: that depends upon what kind of session I am hosting
tipigi: Only if they're coming to play with my kids, NOT play games with us!
janiera: Yes, as I have one of my own
Karlsen: Yes
javelin98: No, we usually play after the kids go to bed.
shizzane: Sure. Almost everyone in our gaming group has at least one child.
Major Sholto: Over 12 is good.
Dinky_Gnatbane: Only if I'm feeling peckish.
skrebs: It's kind of the only way with my group of friends.
POvidiusNaso: I used to. That stopped pretty quick.
Recneps: Nope.
Tushratta: Only if I'm low on firewood.
scriptorum: Not at all.
TaliaIsabelle: No
Dorque: God no.
Chaz: Depends on type of games planned
Culvan: No. None of the people I'd invite have young children.
chockle: Not with the normal group, but I host sessions specifically for young children anyway.
cobra: no
Lord_Prussian: Encourage, not necessarily, but I wouldn't discourage.
Schuk: no
Nightmare: No... I prefer to not have young children around when gaming.
The Unbeliever: 42
Belash: if it means they'll show up, sure
skrutsch: We've tried to avoid this issue.
WasQ: My friends still haven't young children, we're young at heart to have young childrens...
shotokanguy: No. Most of the people I game with don't have children, not that I would encourage them if they did!
shumyum: only if that's the only way they can come
puffinge: I usually tell them not to, but I don't mind attending some sessions where young children are present.
Musti: We do sometimes
2amp: NEVER
heli: no
ValJor: No
dietevil: no, my house is not childproof
chaddyboy_2000: No!
ThatFalafelGirl: depends, on when said session is. and how young the children are
djlg: No.
Randy Cox: Tough question. Since having some little ones, we have only hosted a couple of times and our friends' kids would be too young to take out that late. So, it hasn't come up. As the youngsters age, we'll invite kids and probably provide a babysitter. Or something like that.
jttm: Nope.
snoozefest: no
Tim Synge: No.
skelebone: F no, but none of my friends have any.
Spielfreak: no
CDRodeffer: Yes.
