¿Question #3374?
Timothius: What is the worst boardgame defeat you have ever sustained???

Woelf: No idea.
drakos42: I was once eliminated in EVO on the last turn causing me to lose by one point. Later printings forbid player elimination with good merit.
Occupy Boardwalk: ANY defeat that comes from miscalculating the score at the end of the game. "Oh.. didn't see that. So yeah, you won." Sooooo embarrassing!
sprice06: I lost in a tourney of Red Dragon Inn on a final card I played in response to my final opponent. I could have not played the card, then won, but I didn't know that until after I lost! The bastard doesn't even wear the victory hat!!!
Svengaard: My first game of Dominion the score was something like 50/46/5.
jegan22280: i once lost a 4 player game of pandemic on the first turn
bcooperok: Every time I play Union Pacific, I want to both go buy my own copy and strangle Alan R. Moon.
Jayolas: Any of my diplomacy losses. There's just something about them that is particularly horrible. Thankfully it doesn't happen all that often =)
Spirit of 70: Getting trashed in a two player game of Caylus (It was my first game) when I let my opponent take all the gold every turn.
MisterCranky: 5-5
Hendal: I have never lost at HEroscape ( that I will admit at least ) - OK at a tournament I lost in the finals to a random magic token ( it was cursed instead of helping it killed over half my army before any fighting started, it sucked )
ricardofo: In the Saipan (SPI 1975).
Zarion of Arabel: recent ToI game, lost every unit in 4 rounds, only killed 2 enemy
quentin1: TTR Switzerland- beat by 127 points
ZeroZilla: The second game of chess against my old friend Mike. I taught him. I won game one. I never won again.
Hector Vortac: Some games of Age of Renaissance or History of the World where something like 1 army succeeds out of 20. But the one that bothers me most is 2006 WBC final of Ra.
chockle: Worst defeat was Pirate's Cove, where I lost 11 battles.
Aardvarkius: Lost before I ever got a chance to move
El Hidalgo: Risk...40 armies against 2...learned to hate dice odds.
DHEK: I don't keep track of this kind of thing, but I'm sure I have suffered horrible defeats before.
ColtsFan76: Coming in last in Carcassonne while explaining it to 4 newbies
william_henshaw: T&E never drew red or black
aleo09: prob in in Settlers
Leo-T: Third Reich - Lost England to a German invasion.
BarrageFan: Don't remember, I blank out my losses.
Megadev: Duel of Ages: 2 vs 2, 5 characters per player. We killed one of them, they killed nine of ours and stole the other from us.
scriptorum: I've burned from memory quite a number of defeats, so I can't give the worst one. However, somewhat recently, I lost a game of Hera and Zeus in two turns. In my first and only turn I drew a card as my last action (stupidly), drawing Argos. My opponent's first turn was to attack my hand with Pegasus, and naturally he picked Argos. It's also the only time in memory where I threw my cards across the table like a little baby.
nexttothemoon: I can't recall a specific defeat that was horrendous but I'm sure there was one or 2 in my lifetime.
heli: Once in Taj Mahal I tried to break the game by seeing how high I could score by never playing a card, only taking them. Should have known Reiner would have planned for that. ;)
puffinge: I guess it was that Baseball Strategy League playoff game where I blew a 6-0 8th inning lead. Or maybe it was that 59-0 loss in the Football Strategy League playoffs. Funny, both of these losses were to the same person.
Avatar_69: Ending with 3 VPs in Settlers
brainrob: HotW - the bloody Hsing Nu blew it big style
dwarf: Nothing comes to mind right now.
fehrmeister: When I taught my siblings how to play Princes of Florence and ended up dead last in a 5-player game with less than half the points of the winner (Timothius)
Cyberjunk: 100% losing streak at Shadows Over Camelot.
shawn_low: I never lose.
Syrion: I lost by over 500 points in Go, once--on a 38x38 board to a 4-dan player. (I was 25 kyu at the time.)
ecliptik: when my girlfriend beat me at settlers the first time she ever played it
skrebs: First play of St. Pete. Second and final play of St. Pete was also brutal.
Loquutus: I have a new one every week.
POvidiusNaso: I once lost a game of Edel, Stein & Reich $110 Million to $27 million, which is hard to do.
mrbeankc: Two games of robo rally in a row i failed to get to a single flag
javelin98: Wiped out in Axis and Allies in the second turn
Payne: Only hypnotherapy will reveal the answer.
TaliaIsabelle: Settlers, 10 to 2 to 2, or maybe losing by over 100 in Carcassonne
skrutsch: Our first game of Alhambra, my husband and I both lost to Matt, but 10 or more points.
GrandpaDave: Loosing in Real Money Monopoly
yossarians: If I told you I'd have to kill you
snoozefest: playing Nippon Rails with my wife; I conceded after a few turns because I had gotten myself in a position going NOWHERE while she was chugging away...
ValJor: I tend to forget these things, so I cannot say for sure about "ever" but recently I taught Alhambra to five people, all new to the game. I had many, many games under my belt, so I knew I would just kill them. Did I win the game? No. Did I finish a close second? Not really. Third, maybe? No sir, I came dead last, with more than ten points less than fifth place. That was horrible!
Reloaded: War of 1812... crushed as the Americans in 1812... that and some nasty Scrabble scores...
Great Dane: Hasn't happened yet

chaddyboy_2000: A had a terrible game of Rumis last week.
djlg: I once came third out of 5 players in a game of "Set" without saying or doing anything at all for the whole game. Might as well have not been there and I wish hadn't.
skelebone: I don't know, though I recently had my ass handed to me in some games.
CDRodeffer: I suffered a complete shutout in go once. By a computer. :-(
Spielfreak: I don't remember. I conveniently forget most scores soon after games end.
Dave: Domaine, when, for the second consecutive time, I lost to my friend Chuck on a tiebreaker. I got sweet revenge in our next match, when I won by automatic victory!
CortexBomb: ...hard to recall really, I've been drubbed pretty severly in a lot of games over the years, nothing really comes to mind though
