Woelf: The economic systems of most of the world are built on the principle that cheaters do prosper. Cheat the tax codes and regulations just enough to get ahead of the next guy. Obviously it works, or no one would bother.

Dammawail97: No. Ultimately cheating cheapens the experience and frequently they are caught. While short term gratification may occur a cheater will typically be caught and punished and therefore prosperity cannot occur.

CDRodeffer: In the short term, yes. For example, I had really high marks in school, so to make a little money later on, I would, ahem, rent out copies of completed homework assignments and exams, all with corrected answers if any had been missed the first time. This proved very effective.
