puffinge: How often do you listen to music through headphones? Do you ever do this while you are working?

ocdspectrum: Very rarely.

BOBBYCAN: I used to, but now use my little computer speakers. They sound pretty good.
Felimid: Whenever I'm around other people, but doing something on my own. Yes, if I don't need the headphones for something work-related (like listening to dictation tapes and sound files).

tsievers: I listen at work nearly every day with Sony noise-deadening headphones. They don't shut out my neighbors completely, but they muffle the sound somewhat. I listen to nature sounds, quiet music, anything to provide background sound I've chosen. It helps me to concentrate, and gives me a little bit of control over my own environment. Most of my co-workers also wear headphones, I'm guessing for the same reason.
Caerid: Often, and yes, Pandora is the only reason I get things done at work.

Woelf: I don't wear headphones at work, but I frequently use them while doing work around the yard. Active noise cancellation is awesome when mowing the lawn.

Randy Cox: I listened through headphones back in the 70s, just to see if you could really hear "Charlie, Charlie" on Revolution #9 (or for some equally immemorably reason). Haven't done so since and I don't listen to music at work. Or at home. Or in the car. Or anywhere.
Dave: Several times a week. I would do it at work, but the headphone jack on my laptop leaks noise. :-(
Spielfreak: Often at work ; yes. SmashMouth's "Astrolounge" is particularly good music to listen to while developing code.
