¿Question #3596?
puffinge: What annoys you most at the grocery store?

Woelf: People
BOBBYCAN: Long lines.
Fribian: Having to chat it up when someone I work with shows up
arkibet: people who look at me funny when I'm in the express lane with a cart. I usually am buying 12 packs of soda. Had a lady get all righteous and then I made her count my items. 12. I laughed at her as I waited and proved she took more time at checkout than she did.
Grayle84: The lineups
Spirit of 70: Replacing cashiers with self checkout machines.
CardboardCultist: How I KNOW everything I need is scattered intentionally around the store so as to make me walk past as many inessential temptations as possible.
bcooperok: The vegetable aisle.
InyokaMadoda: All other people. They're in my way. Don't they know I'm in a rush?
vandemonium: Having to pay. Damn it groceries should be free! What sort of socialist paradise is this where we have to pay for shit?
gsimpson: locked doors
xofour: sales tax. Oh yeah I live in Oregon, we don't have one. hooray!!!!
pwilz: The zillions of groups soliciting money outside. I guess it's their right, and they are choosing a better place than coming up to my house and knocking on my door, but I just want to get in and out.
Zedsdead: Those damnable "Special Shopper" cards they make you carry around. Essentially they force you to give them a bunch of your personal information every time you check out or else pay a fine on half your groceries.
LordOrin: Finding out that you were supposed to supply your own bags after you've paid for your groceries...
GrimJester: self-checkout robots suck
kathleenryan: The long check-out lines.
Bigland: When I sit in the trolley and no one pushes me. :-(
FreeMorpheme: Paying. Grasping swine.
cgund: Cashiers who yakk it up. Those membership cards you have to sign up for to get the sales. Horrible/overpriced produce. Expired products. Oblivious people who block the way. Lack of coupon-doubling.
SubtlyArtistic: other people.
Phil Fleischmann: They force me to pay for the groceries.
ZeroZilla: Filtered pear juice.... as an ingredient.
Bakelite: People that are ahead of me in the line, without readying their money in any way, shape, or form.

Cross_: People blocking the aisles
Harkonnen13: Being at the grocery store is annoying.
Geosmores: other customers who are checking out
Ludocrazy: They're always out of low-sodium spaghetti sauce.
bigbadsteve: the people who go through the u-scan lane and have no idea what they are doing
dsmeyer: getting in the line with a bad cashier
DHEK: Irresponsible shoppers leaving stuff they don't need anymore wherever they want. Like leaving frozen chicken on the bread shelf, or milk in the detergent section. Stupid people.
Ebon Wendigo: That you have to ask for paper bags
Geosphere: The soggy stuff around the lettuce
Libra: At one point in time, I would have said the greatest annoyance was people who get in the Express Lane with more than the maximum number of items. These days, I'd say it's anyone who stands in line while talking on a damned cell phone — particularly when they make no effort whatsoever to keep their voice down.
Cordingley: People giving you weird looks for no apparent reason.
Azzarc: Stupid people slowing down the checkout line.
aleo09: the milk is all the way in the back

szilaj: The grocer.
falloutfan: People racing around with their carts, not looking where they are going.
herman_the_german: shopping
Task: Stickers On Fruit
VanillaFlava: I always end up buying DVDs when all I wanted to pick up is milk.
vampywife: people in the middle of the aisle talking and people who just happen to part their carts right beside each other leaving no room to maneuver through
_Kael_: Thinking about GQs
Nekura: When they're out of something I need
AngusBull: The person with a cartload of stuff in the express lane.
ststrat: Stickers on produce. Why? Why, oh Lord, why?
MeYesMe: Aisle-blockers. Oh -- I see -- it's *your* world, ma'am. Take your time...wouldn't want you to get an inferior can of tuna now...

GI Joe: Having to go there.
Numskull: I can't find my beloved Waffle Crisp cereal! It's gone!!! GONE!!!!!

jellospike: crazy people
2amp: someone exceeding the express-checkout limit
ssmooth: The items they discontinue once I start buying them regularly
Randy Cox: Nothing, really. I enjoy going to the grocery store (note to New Englanders, it's not "the market", it's "grocery store"). Anyway, I go there for recreation. Used to walk to a couple three or four times a week. Only real annoyance is when you get home with fruit that just isn't good.
