¿Question #3794?
KMcPartland: What is the best way for me to promote my game, on GMT's P500 list, here at BGG?
ocdspectrum: Both and sign up for boardgame revolution and boardgame spotlight on Facebook.
clawlan: um....add it?
DeePee: BGG probably.
mcpranno: simply for the purpose of continuing the trilogy (or will there be more?), yes.
Blacknightjj: BGG
matthewjhoskins: P 500 is excellent. Why not consider a convention tour? They can be pricey ( for GenCon/Origins) but if you promote your game well there it should do extremely well.
Gamedeity: why not both?
aleo09: why not both
Ryan L: Use mechanics the geeks are familier with and a theme wargamers will dig
ltux: BGG.
DHEK: Probably take up an ad or offer review copies to notable reviewers here at BGG (there are several).
Mosse: A TV-spot on the Superbowl half-time show seems to do the trick...
bigbadsteve: beg
cluegirl: write all about it! people will read!
Capitaine Grappin: Here, BGG
PsyJam: Free sex and cookies. Or a sexy cookie.
mlanza: Offer it up for circulation and mail it out for others to try
fubar awol: Become a presence here... contribute content, make comments, make friends. Do not rate your own game or review it - in fact, stay "low key" about it. Your new friends will do the work for you. When the game comes out, be respond promptly and courteously to rules questions. Be positive but not defensive. Ignor criticisim. Do not shill or shamelessly promote – it will cause people to form negative impressions that are difficult to overcome!
Helenoftroy: BGG! ! !
BeeCeeJay: Don't know... but I'd love to know the results of this question.
Deeghter: Log in with a million different names and rate it 10!
dietevil: Get people to play it and hope they'll talk about it. Or do some kind of promotion/game about it
brainrob: A competition that gives away geek gold
ssmooth: Buy an ad
djlg: Buy an ad. Be active and helpful, but not pushy or defensive.
Cavedog_pdx: Jump in on discussion articles especially those with strategy questions or requests for rule clarifications.
KMcPartland: Conquest of Paradise is listed; it doesn't seem to be attracting much discussion, though.
ValJor: Here at BGG
MisterCranky: Obviously not by asking GeekQuestions about it.
snoozefest: come up with a creative contest
skrutsch: I think they frown on self-promotion.
trnardo: You'll have to take this with a grain of salt, as the P500 entry I've been shepherding has yet to cross the finish line. But session reports probably would help, especially if you can get the game into the hands of a group of first-timer CoP players.
CDRodeffer: Both!
chaddyboy_2000: I think I've already seen mention of it, but it's not my cup of tea.
skelebone: When some P500 games are close to their goal, sometimes people post a message to give it an extra push. Alternately, perhaps promote it personally to people that it may appeal to.
Lord_Prussian: You could have started with naming the game in your question.
jttm: Keep it a secret
