¿Question #3837?
puffinge: Why revolutions have colors or/and flowers these days? Like, Orange Revolution in Ukraine, Revolutions of Roses in Georgia and Tulip Revolution in Kyrgyzstan?

Steerpike.Instance: feng shui
Algernon Disraeli: Mmmm. You know what, I would like a Ruby Red Grapefruit Revolution. Very much. Like those revolutions you mentioned, it would have an ubiquitous-yet-distinctive symbol. But it would also have the advantage of being covert: How could they tell the Ruby Reds from the Sour Pinks, without cutting all the grapefruits open to see? Oh, wait. Just the excuse the tyrants would be looking for. My bad.
Woelf: It makes them sound more pleasant in the history books. The "Fuck You Royalty" revolution still gets bad press centuries later, even if everyone (except the royalty) was pretty happy with the result.
TiwazTyrsfist: You left a word out. Why "DO" revolutions, etc. Also, I don't know, but possibly because it makes better news. Same reason serial killers have crazy nicknames.

Geosmores: Make it less violent
POvidiusNaso: Those are all related to the Soviet Union, so I'll let you figure out why yourself...
CMOT Dibbler: This is not a proper sentence.
Brentoon: ?
2amp: sounds better than the cheese & broccoli fart revolution

So people just called it the Peach Revolution. An interior designer thought "Peach" referred to a color and, voila, a new trend was born.
rdmasters: Icons man! Icons! Why do you think the October Revolution just has a month? The Bolshies were iconoclasts! Iconoclasm is out of fashion these days!
chaddyboy_2000: I have no idea what you are talking about.
jttm: The logos are easier to design for
