¿Question #3869?
erli: What happened to the Matrix?
aleo09: the movie exists, unless you;ve been unplugged
Woelf: It had two sequels, now let us never speak of them again.
puffinge: It started sucking during the first movie. And if you ever look at GeekQuestions again, erli, Hi!
Felimid: Too much copper sulfate solution.
vandemonium: It was solved.
lacxox: It started to co-operate with people.
elirlandes: Which Matrix?
ricardofo: becomes a vector
Frubgarde: Devalued by two unnecessary sequels. I could go on at some length about this.
Randy Cox: Wasn't that a movie that had its 15 minutes of glory?
CardboardCultist: I don't think it was meant to be a trilogy. They hammered out the last two to make some tidy coins, but they didn't have their stuff together. The stories in "The Animatrix" were 90x better than the 2 two movies combined.
Blott: It's on DVD.
krainer: It became a car model from Toyota.
amphitrite: it was a brain in a vat on Alpha Centauri, they stopt poking it
BUDDA: it was rebooted
WonderLlama: Neo, who was most certainly not a program, freed enough people from it that it collapsed, despite the fact that many did not want to leave.
DHEK: It got destroyed, didn't it?
Silas Traitor: Unexpected reboot; then bluescreen.
the_plumster: hell yes
dmomo: Offline...
erikk: They only had good ideas for the first film. Then they started forcing things.
Shade006: It exists within our society.
Burnham: It started sucking after the first movie.
dietevil: It collapsed
herman_the_german: It was followed by two sequels and a tv show.
FrozenHoHos: The sequels killed it.
jasta6: It collapsed........................................
Chris Page: It caught a terminal case of sequalitis.
brainrob: It died after the first movie
Helenoftroy: Well, the last movie showed us that nothing was achieved and now we are back to the beginning situation. What a waste of a very long drawn out movie.
bigbadsteve: you mean, Dot?
scriptorum: They made two sequels are ruined a perfectly good film.
RyanMC: It never existed.
japhmi: It was matrixed and downsized. Now it's sitting on the street corner begging for money so that it can buy cheap booze. To think, it used to be somebody!
rawdawg: started suking browneye
m:cafe: Over time, it became more difficult to ignore how much it sucked.
Fawkes: God unplugged it.
Loquutus: I'm curious as well. I hope there's a series or cartoon or more movies or something.
djlg: They realised they'd already milked the franchise for 2 more films than was decent.
Recneps: The creators sat down and storyboarded all the good, cohesive, satisfying endings they could. Then they went with something else.
POvidiusNaso: I didn't see the rest of the trilogy, so I have no idea.
Unitbuster: Started to go downhill in Reloaded and then it sucked the fat ass in Revolutions. "Yay, the war is over! We can make peace with the evil robots that have been hunting us to extinction for the past however long!"
ZombyDawg: I put the VHS in storage and I don't have the DVD yet.
javelin98: The Wachowski Bros. suffered from Lucasitis -- took themselves too seriously
GI Joe: Someone unplugged it
mrbeankc: It went out with a wimper
snoozefest: got boring, disappeared
Lord_Prussian: yah
mads b.: haven't seen #3. But I really do believe that there IS no matrix
skelebone: Someone got a number wrong, and the calculations don't work anymore.
CDRodeffer: You're soaking in it.
jttm: I don't know. I heard there was supposed to be a third movie.
skrutsch: We're still in it.
dakarp: It certainly got sucky, didn't it?
Spielfreak: Sorry, you don't have a need to know.
chaddyboy_2000: I don't know.
CortexBomb: Well, it was going good until part III, at which point it devolved into complete action schlock
