¿Question #3960?
meshuggener: Do you tend to use card sleeves? Is this going too far?

Xerya: no
ocdspectrum: I like using them, especially for games where you shuffle a lot (Terraforming Mars).
BOBBYCAN: I tend to remember that I probably should have.
Felimid: These days, yes. No.
oriecat: I hate sleeves.
ajax013: I use card sleeves for MTG but not for anything else at the moment.
Woelf: I used them for Dominion and the character cards in Citadels, but haven't bothered with them elsewhere.
GrrBlarg: Rarely. Probably.
slate43: fiddly fiddly fiddly
jessitron: I put them on RftG and regret it. They make the cards much harder to handle. Really, if they get damaged, I can buy the game again.
Solocutor: Card sleeves are great for hiding proxies.
atrium: I use them all the time.
DKahnt: no
vandemonium: I don't, but nah, it's all good.
greenpawn: I like card sleeves, but if they cause the cards to be hard to use, then I generally dont use them.
cgund: no and no opinion
CardboardCultist: I use card-sleeve jackets, myself... Some of my card sleeves are collectable.
DHEK: No, I don't use them. I don't really bother. Nah it's not really going to far. Laminating everything... now THAT is going too far.
elirlandes: I tend to use sleeves made of the same fabric as the rest of the given item of clothing. Not owning any jackets, coats, sweaters, shirts or pullovers made of card, I never use card sleeves.
familygaming: Only for my Magic decks.
Blacknightjj: yes and no
mrspank: I used them for certain MTG cards back in '93 - '95. Haven't used sleeves since then.
aleo09: no. i don't think so.
Chris Page: No. They're good when you really want to protect the backs, like the role cards in Citadels or Die Erban Von Hoax. Or your child's college fund, a.k.a. Black Lotus.
dmomo: Yeah.
dietevil: No and yes
POvidiusNaso: Nope. Nope.
MaksimSmelchak: I do at times if I like the game and the sleeve doesn't interfere with shuffling. I also won't use sleeves with a game that has too many cards. So, no.
tipigi: sometimes and no.
ZiggyZambo: Yes, no
JDDudrey: yes and no
Beelzebub: Too hard to play most games with the card sleeves - especially if you attempt to shuffle the cards.
BookandGame: I use them when I need them, like in Citadels. Otherwise, no.
Cut & Space: Yes, no
Kyralia: Yes, card sleeves are taking over the world!
SisyphusX: Yes - and no.
heli: very handy for prototypes
brainrob: I use a handkerchief
moyet: no it's not going to far
FrozenHoHos: no, to each his or her own
Burnham: only for CCGs and the characters in Citadels
Ebon Wendigo: No
cubone13: Always sleeve
Csteb: I use card sleeves for games with cards that are flimsy or have already taken a lot of abuse.
marshalljansen: I hate sleeves. It ruins the tacticle feel of the cards, makes them difficult to shuffle, etc. Sleeves are for when the cards are worn too much to play normally. Only in games like Citadels do sleeves make sense.
WatchmanX2000: nope. it's a bit silly except it's not as if these games are going to see a huge amount of reprinting.
Janiv: Nope, don't use them
LemonyFresh: Yes. No.
aramis: Yes. Some would say so...
jellospike: No. Yes.
shawn_low: Yes. No.
skrutsch: no (just for Citadels), no
MDettmer81: Yes, I do, and no, it's not too far.
chrisisapimp: 2 far
Loquutus: I would if I played ccgs heavily or Citadels, for the role cards. If you are willing to spend the money, its probably not too far.
puffinge: no, it's ok for CCG's
Payne: Yes. Not if you care for your games.
fellonmyhead: No, but for some games where a few cards get continuous use I do.
ZombyDawg: no use
Jim_P: No, unless they're home-made cards... people are way too anal
consolewa: Hell no. And yes.
GrandpaDave: No. Yes
e.c.r.: no - no
scriptorum: No, yes.
Dante_Cubit: Yes, mutha fucking YES. Anal bastards!
kevinfelker42: Card Condoms are the only way to keep them in good condition. Somehow, my hands destroy them otherwise.
Culvan: Hasn
ssmooth: I don't use them.
chaddyboy_2000: Nope.
ValJor: I don't use card sleeves
MisterCranky: I use them to dispose of smashed bugs.
jttm: Yes, but only for certain games
Lord_Prussian: I use them for Magic Cards and for cards that see a lot of use like the characters in Citadels. But I don't use them for every card in ever game. I believe that is going too far.
Spielfreak: In some games, yes. ; no
CortexBomb: Only on CCGs and on card games which have stock which is worn and hard to shuffle without them
CDRodeffer: I use card sleeves during prototyping because I print drafts on paper instead of card stock.
skelebone: I don't sleeve any of my games. I make everyone wear handsleeves instead.
