meshuggener: Puerto Rico: It is the start of the game and you are the first player to take a turn. Which role do you choose? Why?

ocdspectrum: I am almost always the dungeon master.
Woelf: It depends on the number of players, but I'd try to get the 3-gold Indigo plant up and running as soon as possible.
tankexmortis: I choose the assassin so I can kill the other players, end the game, and play something fun.

Numskull: Settler. I want a quarry, and I want it now.
DHEK: Settler and pick a quarry, because it allows you to at least make good use of the first-player disadvantage. If someone does mayor (which someone surely will), you can at least put a colonist there.

tdyck: production, so that no one can screw me out of production later in the turn, and no one can send resources to the old world. If I can't get them, than nobody can.
