¿Question #4141?
skelebone: Do you have any "Coffee Table" games that you would leave out on display? What are they?

Woelf: An in-progress game of Merchants & Marauders looks really cool set up on a coffee table (I've tested this personally), but with two young kids and two cats in the house I'd never leave it set up in between plays.
CIlantr0: No, but I find that mancala, chess/checkers sets, or anything else abstract and easily recognizable is often left out as long as nothing is liable to eat the pieces.
moik: Go
DMF2: Mille Bourne, Spies!, Speed Circuit (maybe). Not to forget the chess is also a game.
puffinge: Lordy, I miss skelebone.
nwright: An inlaid marble chessboard I bought in India
Jayolas: Nope. Maybe a chess set that I got from my uncle as a wedding present (cool uncle).
Spirit of 70: No.
Silverleaf: None - all mine are solitaire
zomborya: Chess
Lacota: Catan 3D edition (the one in the wooden chest). My antique Mahjongg set.
Simon Mueller: I don't own "Coffee Table"-esque games and never will.
derekjinx: starcraft
ZiggyZambo: no
Commandex: nope
aleo09: chess,
bigbadsteve: no

DHEK: I don't have any such games.
TheArchAngel: StarTrek chess set from the original series and seafarers maritime chess set
vampywife: if my coffee table wasn't so full of other random junk, i suppose i would display either rumis or giseh! as both are pretty neat to look at after they've been played
Skadar: Pirates of the Spanish Main with custom made islands
SybotCB: No
scriptorum: Not really, maybe my chess set. i have a nice looking woodcraft Mancala board.
ellephai: Not so much, but I would display my playing card collection.
MaksimSmelchak: Yes. I had "Lord Of the Rings" out and I usually have "Cranium" out as well.
KDSN: Chess...a really nice carved set of wooden pieces.
KentuckyKid: A clear glass backgammon board. Chess.

jasta6: WoW:FA or WyB, great art work on the boxs......................
brainrob: No
Big Bad Lex: Cathedral & Pylos
Salt-Man Z: I used to have my marble chess set on display.
Tennantgamer: My chess board. My wife and I leave the game going each taking turns whenever we walk by.
masaakunokouchi: Guillitine
kuhrusty: Dude, I have kids. I would only leave a game out on display if I wanted most of the cards to turn up next time I moved the sofa, if the board weren't sticky enough, or if I wanted to be presented with engineering challenges like "how do I get that wooden cube out of his nasal cavity?"
Loquutus: No
skrutsch: Quorridor
skrebs: I have a coffee table book about coffee table games that I leave in my espresso machine.
flyinghogfish: I don't have a coffee table, so I can't
MisterCranky: Game of the States, The Game of Life, and Candyland. Oh yes, I hold tea parties for toddlers.

GrandpaDave: No
snoozefest: no
ValJor: I have two Chess sets on display
jttm: I stopped after coffee rings started appearing on them.
CortexBomb: Not really...I want to get Cathedral: World for that purpose though
Lord_Prussian: Not really. Cats.
CDRodeffer: Go and Crokinole
chaddyboy_2000: I've left Blokus out on my table.
Spielfreak: I suppose Quorridor fits this category, although I don't personally leave it out on display. My crokinole board hangs on a wall in the computer room -- does that count?
sos1: Saturn - I had it in my office for months before deciding I needed it at home to play it
skelebone: I have a nice stone chess set, as well as a Chinese checkers set. I would put Quarto! or CityScape out, since they're wooden and look nice.
