¿Question #416?
manowarplayer: Best idea for a new game (Give an example with the theme and mechanic.)
bcooperok: Hollywood Rehab; one mechanic would include lost turns if the paparazzi get a photo of your lindsaylohan as you get out a car.
DHEK: Oh, I dunno... I'm not really a good game designer, so I can't really say.
jttm: Geekquestions. Taking the obsessiveness of Geeks and turning into a game.
Blackwind: You work for WHO and you run around the world trying to contain some deadly disease.
chaddyboy_2000: Fart knocking.
Shakar: Fantasy or medieval themed, micro-managing a barony. All the players belong to the same court, they can intrigue to advance their own agenda while making sure the barony will grow and get prosperous, while fighting/allying with your neighbors.
sumo: I would like to see Farming done well.
CortexBomb: Wacky necromantic profiteers compete with both each other and a nearby suburban development in an effort to loot an indian graveyard and bump each off. Mechanics: Tile laying with action points, special powers
Flyspeck23: Nonono, you won't trick me...
melissa: I keep thinking about a tile-laying and then destroying game (Theme: Great Fire of London). First you build the city, then you try to stop your bits burning while demolishing others'. And there is money (rent) that you can use to pay people to fight the fires for you. That's as far as it has got, and probably as far as it ever will.
Gelatinous Goo: The Clerics of Sicily--prayer and trembling mechanic
MisterCranky: Flying Monkeys Over Tokyo. The wicked witch attacks Japan, and you roll dice to see if the flying monkeys drop Toto on anything critical.
dakarp: You think I'm telling you? My idea will make millions, millions, I tell you! Look out, Globopolis!
Sky Knight X: Medieval Total War: The boardgame
CDRodeffer: Theme: gods jockeying for supremacy within the Norse pantheon. Mechanic: speed needlepoint.
skelebone: Cattle ranching -- but done better than Abilene
