¿Question #4176?
puffinge: Which game best captures the feeling of being in the old west?
ocdspectrum: Carson city. Big box.
The Monstrous Jake: Trivial Pursuit: The "Married with Children" Edition
BOBBYCAN: Dill pickles. I don't eat them often but I love the way they taste with meatloaf. (Gracias)
Woelf: Monopoly. Get it?
Arag: If I find one I'll tell you.
Jbrady: Deadwood
Yap Kitty: Agricola
jmsmith2434: Bang!
Felimid: "Boot Hill"?
xofour: Haven't found it yet. But I haven't played a whole lot. Oregon was dissapointing (themewise. the game was decent). Bang was fun but I don't know if it "felt" old-westy. I haven't tried High Bohn yet, but I dan't imagine it would be....wait what am I saying, I just realized the answer. Poker.
Norson: Bang
ahauwi1: Bang!
ricardofo: dunno
arkibet: cash n guns
knilob: Bang!
bigbadsteve: gunslinger
ZeroZilla: I used to like a miniatures game called alternately "The Rules With No Name", or "A Fistfull of Dice". It was simple enough to be played in an evening, but complex enough to give a real sense of control over your characters' actions.
DHEK: Bang!
POvidiusNaso: Boot Hill used to. Board games? Maybe Bang!, but not really. Gunslinger?
themagni: Risk 2210AD
monkeyrobot: Bang. Or maybe Mall of Horror
aleo09: haven't played any w/ that theme
seppo21: Bang captures the feeling of being in a Spaghetti Western. Does that count?
Ralzakark: Yes.
_Kael_: poker
Red Dragon: What the heck? A sensible question, about GAMES, from puffinge??? Will miracles never cease... Unfortunately, I can't think of any game that gives a feeling of the old west.
greglios: Bang!
HScottBuck: Cowboys and Indians
dmomo: Gunsmoke
Cromaa: Bang!
play an instrument: sunset riders for the snes lol
Glenn: wyat earp
BeatPosse: poker
mlanza: Way Out West
redhuntingcap: how the hell would i know?--i've never been there.
mrbeankc: Gunslinger
Loquutus: None yet.
brainrob: Bang!
Quest22: Gunslinger
javelin98: Oregon Trail
Fawkes: Gunslinger comes closest.
MisterCranky: Reach For the Sky, by Hasbro
chrisisapimp: idk
Recneps: Bang or Candyland.
dietevil: Dry Gulch
puffinge: Dry Gulch
dakarp: The only one I can think of that might qualify is Boomtown.
djlg: 5 card stud poker played in a smoky bar while wearing hats.
erli: Boomtown
GrandpaDave: Monopoly
n_and: Bang!
sos1: I don't know, I wasn't alive back then. Desperado best captures the feeling of being in an old west movie, though.
Lord_Prussian: Bang does it well for such a simple card game. Boot Hill was good with a moderator running it double blind.
chaddyboy_2000: Bang isn't bad. I haven't played Way Out West though.
Randy Cox: I can't say that there are any. If I'd ever played Gunslinger, that may be the one. Boot Hill comes to mind for RPGs. Bang doesn't evoke any sense of theme to me--you just try to get good cards and clobber someone and hope the misery ends--maybe it simulates sitting through a funeral.
CDRodeffer: While Bang! is the obvious choice, I honestly think that Klondike (HABA) better captures the feel for me.
skelebone: Bang is the only west-themed game I've ever played.
Spielfreak: Gunslinger.
ssmooth: I don't think there is one that does.
jttm: Bang is about the only one I can think off.
