¿Question #4208?
puffinge: Do you wear a watch most of the time? If you do, tell us about it. If you don't, why not?

Derang3d: No. I had one that went beep every hour, but the batteries ran out. Haven't caught them yet.
richcharters: I made to switch to a misfit pedometer about 9 months ago.
Woelf: Never do; it's a pain in the ass, and devices with a time display are always readily available.
Spirit of 70: No.
oriecat: I used to. It was a nice metal watch that I got at the Swatch store at Times Square. Then the battery died and I had a cell phone by then, so no longer needed to wear it, so now I don't wear one.
ricardofo: nope. because I broke or lost many watches in the past
Disreputable: It's called a cell phone, and I don't exactly "wear" it.
bktanner: I don't wear a watch because quite frankly I don't have one. I have really bad luck with watches. I break or lose or mess up one within a few months of getting them, so about 5 years ago after the last one I had stopped working, I just never got a new one.
Boots01: Nope. I used to, and I never took it off. My left wrist wound up pasty and gross with a tan line, and weirdly thin when compared it to my right (though I'm right-handed, so it might be irrelevant). Also the mobile phone thing took off, and I stopped needing it.
Polgara: no. I have my mobile phone with me most of the time and that has the time on it. Also it means less obsessing over time, very relaxing.
eric_s_raymond: No. I have a cellphone instead.
Frubgarde: I only take my wristwatch off when I shower.
cmchavis: Yes, It has numbers on it. It keeps time. It has a band that goes around my wrist.
organicveggie: No watch. I sit in front of a computer, which has the time.
Zigg: Yes I wear a watch, it is a black steel "Guess" watch with numbers and a second hand.
Blott: No. My cell phone tells time just fine.
Wes Hope: no, because my wrists are flabby
chockle: I hate the idea of wearing a watch. It makes me feel like a slave. The only time I wear a watch is when dawn patrol surfing, so I know when to get out of the water.
scriptorum: Only when I go out. It's a Fossil, analog, stainless steel frame, black band, with day of the month. No special features. I went well over a year without a watch and my girlfriend got me this one just so I'd have one...
sparr0: Not since I got a cell phone with a clock display outside.
Der Ubermolch: I hate watches (and most jewelry, for that matter) because they're heavy and sort of hang there. They make my hands feel unbalanced. So I have a pocket watch.
mpot: always, except when in the shower or in bed
DHEK: Yes, I do, except when I bathe, sleep or am at home.
aleo09: about half the time
Cmot Dribbler: i wear a clip on carabener watch that a friend gave me.
TheDS: yes; i like to know what time it is. it's one of those casio databanks, because i like multifunction and utility.
Pacnis: i don't since i started carrying a cell phone
POvidiusNaso: I don't. My last one broke, and I'm poor as sin. Besides, it's kind of interesting to go through life for a couple years with a watch, then go without for a couple years. Try it.
ZiggyZambo: No. I use my cell phone.
LarryHerene: No. Retierd only time sink I need is for Cable. But now I have DVR.
greenpawn: No,my cel phone has an accurate clock built in. I would wear a nice Breitling though.
jlavigne: St. Moritz dive watch. Glows in the dark and sets off metal detectors at the airport.
greglios: I don't. My last one broke and I just didn't bother getting a new one. I use my mobile to check the time now.
HScottBuck: No, no need.
tdabomb: no, i usually forget
Shade_Jon: yes. Seiko with a scratch.
SisyphusX: I do - it's a Casio with databank and international time functions and a really low battery.
dmomo: No.
davidgpeterson: Um, black leather band. silver frame with white face. normal numbers and hands and two little thingies that tell date and 24 clock
eddyspaghetti: My functional watch is gold and silver colored and was a gift from my mommy and daddy.
heli: No, clocks are ubiquitous and if not, the cell phone can tell time.
rootbeer: Yes. Anniversary present from the in-laws. Fairly nice Casio digital. Before that I hadn't worn a watch for a couple years. The previous one committed suicide after my wrist forced it to sit through Hulk at the theatre. So I went without for a while. It was sorta freeing. I especially like the part where I'd take my lunch break and not know when I should go back. Now? Nah. Maybe in a few minutes.
Avatar_69: Yes, it's a Casio Wingman that my ex-girlfriend bought me
scribidinus: I did but the battery went dead. I got it replaced and dropped it and broke the crystal.
Helenoftroy: I don't wear watches, time is too limiting
residue: My cellphone has a watch. And my computer has a watch.
Datek: yes- it is the most functional and useful fashion accessory that I can think of, with the handkerchief being a close second.
Kazin: I don't wear one. I don't need your so called "time".
bekudno: I liked carrying my pocketwatch around before it broke. I have to get that thing fixed one of these days...
SteveK2: I've never worn a watch - never had much of a need for one
bigbadsteve: no, i got tired of always checking the time
skrutsch: not any more. I used to, but I had a constant rash. Now I carry a Palm.
Fawkes: No. My Blackberry serves to tell time.
jellospike: I don't. I hate stress.
Odat: If my physical presence isn't at home, then there's a watch on my wrist. Tell you about it? I, uh.. use it to tell time...
joe_games: I'm still looking for a really good watch. I sometimes where a limed edition Fossil Spiderman watch. I am right now.
ssmooth: Yes. It's a cheap watch -- I forget what I paid exactly, ten or fifteen dollars -- with a navy blue face, "gold" hands including a second hand, and a twistoflex kind of wrist band in "gold" and "silver." I've had it for a few years and particularly like that it shows both the day of the month and the day of the week, since I work an untraditional schedule and can't keep track of where I am in the week by "weekends."
djlg: No, never. No need since there's a clock on my computers, VCR, microwave, car, "cell"phone, etc. Why would anyone need a watch?
Gecko23: No. I don't generally need one, and I'd have to take it off to do my job anyways. (Mucho typing, and the band always causes my wrist to ache.)
Dave: I don't wear a watch because I don't like wearing jewelry.
puffinge: I haven't worn a watch in the last 20 years. It's too annoying.
Karlsen: No. I stopped wearing them about 10 years ago when I had a sore wrist and have never got back into the habit
cloudstalkerian: Most of the time. A simple mechnical watch with the date on it. Silver with a blue face. Small crack in the glass after getting hit with a basebal in the wrist (probably saved my wrist). With a nice snap chain band
xlorp: No because I keep breaking them.
jttm: Yes. Cool watch. Nike. With a thermometer, barometer, and other stuff.
Randy Cox: I go for long periods without a watch. This usually happens because the band breaks or the battery dies. Then I live without it until I think to go to Wal-mart for a replacement battery, only to find that they can't fix it and I just buy a $6 watch and wear it until it fails. It's a never-ending cycle. Actually, it probably will end as some point. Currently, I'm in the wear a watch all the time segment of the cycle.
skelebone: I wear a Nixon watch called "The Clerk" that was given to me by my brother a couple of years ago. It is an analog watch with a wide black leather band, and a date function on the face. Sometimes, I also wear a cheap Russian watch manufactured by Raketa that has circular hands, which looks pretty neat.
CortexBomb: I don't because I think the modern conception of time has been more harmful than helpful. I advocate a slower time system with less hours in the day and longer minutes to make people mentally slow down. Don't get me started on this actually
CDRodeffer: No. I just *know* what time it is.
Spielfreak: It's a Timex Indiglo Expedition. It has an analog face and a black leather wristband. It is now 11:22am EDT.
chaddyboy_2000: Yes, it's a Fossil Blue.
kennyb: i did until it died on me last week
Lord_Prussian: I do not. I carry a cell phone that tells time. When I travel, I will often wear a watch. The watch I wear when I wear a watch is a Russian Submarine Commander's watch that I picked up as a souvenir. It's about 3 inches thick and is an analog wind up watch.
