¿Question #4237?
skelebone: How great of an influence would you say that BGG has had on your game spending habits?

jodokast4: I check it for reviews on things I am already interested in, but overall, not much.
JazynJ: Very high.
Military Muskrat: Not that much actually
Spirit of 70: A great deal.
amosmj: Dramatic! I'd say 3/4 of what I have spent on games I would not have without bgg
Woelf: Fairly significant - I do a lot more research on games before buying them.
Der Ubermolch: In terms of quantity, little influence. However, the quality of game I buy is, on average, much better.
ZeroZilla: I'd say BGG is about 70/30 now, against games my friends have introduced me to. These days, I'm more likely to learn of something here.
hob69: See my geeklist.
Polgara: not much
Randy Cox: I spent a lot before BGG and a lot now. At least now I can find others who lament buying things that suck.
PlayMe1: A lot. I joined BGG this year and have bought 40 games... so far. Help me... I need a 12-step program now, or maybe just some dice.
Wibblenut: A big influence, I buy more (and better) games now I have all of the BGG reference material to hand
archivists: about ' ' that much
TheKeck: A huge influence.
atomzero: Big. I buy more. I buy better.
fizzix: It's not a habit man.. i can quit whenever I want.
Patticus: 10/10
kingmaker fan: Not much.
Butterbane: None -- I can't find a live action werewolf game in a boxed set
DHEK: Moderately so. It has made me better able to make good choices in the games I buy since I have a good reference site and people to ask.
eddyspaghetti: A bit. I like to check the great deals listing.
william_henshaw: Some
sdonohue: I've spent a lot more on better games since finding bgg.
Leo-T: some - haven't been here that long yet
ZombyDawg: I like to read other's comments on games that I am already interested in. Sometimes I get interested in games by hearing about them here.
Ebon Wendigo: Quite a bit, particularly since I've bought several games from people in the marketplace.
roberto: few.
Lightstorm: significant
dmomo: Huge
nibuen: Not much, I would spend that money on something anyways.

Cavedog_pdx: I've had a lot less buyer's remorse and a lot more gaming joy.
POvidiusNaso: If word of mouth is a pebble, BGG is Mt. Everest.
puffinge: Other opinions are helpful, but probably not as much to me as they are for others.
GuyHill: quite a lot
Great Dane: none whatsoever
beakermyers: It grows!
ssmooth: Since I'm likely to check the BGG ratings and rating comments on any game I'm thinking of ordering, BGG in that way has a fair amount of influence.

jttm: Great
chaddyboy_2000: A lot.
Lord_Prussian: Quite a bit since I started using it
Spielfreak: I am more aware of titles, my savvy about choices, and less afraid of foreign titles.
CDRodeffer: A huge influence, more than any other web site for sure.
CortexBomb: Well, I spend a lot more on games that I would have otherwise, but I still don't spend all that much. As my past and present hobbies go it's actually one of the less expensive ones
skelebone: An immense influence. I'm an obsessive collector, and this website is like crack.
