¿Question #4263?
Randy Cox: Wouldn't InterstateDriverGeek.com be a good idea? A place where people can input information about each exit (what's a good place to eat, clean bathroom, etc) the way we enter info, reviews, and comments about games here.
BOBBYCAN: Yes, that would be a good idea.
Tenpence: no
LadyTemy: oooh that'd be handy mainly because i don't want to use expensive data roaming when i'm in the states :P
Spirit of 70: A site like that is a great idea, but I don't think it would be a good fit for the Geek.
DarrinWilliams: That's what my CB radio is for.
Woelf: I give the southbound Hwy 41 exit onto Hwy 172 a rating of 4.5, because construction causes traffic to frequently slow down excessively and/or back up. The Lombardi St. and Oneida St. exits are much better, even though you might have to do a little back-tracking to get to the mall.
manutd03: THAT. would. be. amazingly. helpful.
Nikku: Sounds like a gay meeting site ...
MisterCranky: What a shame you gave away the best idea anybody ever had for a successful internet site.
WatchmanX2000: um. sure. go for it.
ZeroZilla: Yes, but you'd want to call it something else...
xlorp: Who has to test the truck stop chili and restrooms?
FNH1: Boring
UhhhClem: Quick, call Paul Graham!
dogzard: Yes. By the way, AAA's lawyers would like to have a word with you....
waza: No
hacksword: You're funny.
DHEK: Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. How about you go and start it? Might catch on pretty good, you know.
TheArchAngel: ohhhh...that would be great!!
william_henshaw: I believe AAA has got that covered.
POvidiusNaso: I guess so.
aleo09: yes
Grand Moff Skip: sure, why not
Cut & Space: no
Leo-T: yup, I can think of a few trips where I could've used something like that.
PsyJam: That doesn't sound 'geek', just .. weird.
tomlynch: No.
Greedo: Prolly not.
scriptorum: Depends what you mean by "good." If what you mean is the traditional definition, then no.
MaksimSmelchak: Talisman, Cosmic Encounter and Robo-Rally.
Otter: I keep a list already.
heli: Make it a Wiki.
vampywife: it could work, but there are a lot of jokesters that might lead you to the wrong exits
FrozenHoHos: Beyond Thunderdome
Shotmagnet: And we can watch all the accidents as people try to fiddle with their computers while driving
robe62: YES,VERY GOOD
Laudwic: Could be interesting - I guess
Cavedog_pdx: It already exists. It's called www.cruisingforsex.com (note that this is not an endorsement)
RyanMC: Sure, get on that one sparky
bigbadsteve: yes, but isnt there already something like that?
brainrob: Inane again
stray_flux: I don't think it would be my thing. How would I collect exits and what about that first box fart...
Tennantgamer: Sure would save me from some of the places I've stumbled into
ecliptik: no
DaGen: ?? Couldnt Care Less! (mainly coz I live in Europe, I do have to confess)
flyinghogfish: Why not
javelin98: That would be great! You go!
GrandpaDave: Sure
skrutsch: yeah, neat idea
djlg: No. How clean are the bathrooms going to stay if I let you all know?
Randy Cox: Bill, we have interstates in SC. And I'd love this because the on-line exit guides aren't very good (cover only 1/4 mile from the exit sign and never mention cuisine) and the printed books are out of date by the time they come out. It would be neat to read restaurant reviews of a great vegetarian restaurant only 6 miles of the interstate, for instance.
jttm: Not really.
CDRodeffer: Yes, that would be cool! Aldie, do it now!
skelebone: I guess, but I probably wouldn't use it since I'm on the interstate so rarely.
puffinge: Now this THIS! is a good idea. And to think it came from a South Carolinian.
chaddyboy_2000: I guess so.
CortexBomb: It sounds like it would be a massive endeavor only really useful for those with wireless, portable internet access
Lord_Prussian: Sure
Spielfreak: Isn't that what the Michelin Guides are for?
