¿Question #4273?
Randy Cox: How do you cut a whole watermellon (remove all rind first? quarter and slice? scoop out melon balls? etc)?
Woelf: Katana, at a downward angle.
hokam: I knock a couple of times and wait for the inside to come out.
Cowpers: Let the butler do it
Zaphikiel: With a Katana!!!
pwilz: I usually cut it down the center and then slice it up for folks, with whomever getting the end.
Zamomin: I don't like water melons. Honey melons are much better!
Blott: Quarter and slice.
kathleenryan: quarter and slice
Cringing Dragon: Drill a small hole in it. With the assistance of a funnel, pour in copious quantities of vodka (or rum if you prefer). Leave to steep. Insert straw(s) (drill extra holes if necessary). Drink.
atrium: i think i have only ever a partial watermelon from the shop.
rseater: quarter and slice
Rindis: Quarter and slice.
Harkonnen13: I hand it to my wife.
ZeroZilla: I find halving it, then slicing, then halving the rounds into slices to be the least messy way of doing that. I wouldn't want the rind removed, ever. Waste of good melon, that.
Polgara: cut it in halves, then make slices and cut the rim off, then make smaller pieces.
Abruk: To improve the taste
scriptorum: Yep, quarter and slice. Rind removal is messy and scooping is creepy.
malloc: sledge hammer... galliger(sp?) style
themagni: Blender.
DHEK: Quarter and slice.
TheArchAngel: very carefully
Eric Haas: With a knife.
wrkeech: with a knife
aleo09: quarter/slice
vampywife: Hmm...I either quater and slice it (removing the rind) or scoop out the melon part of it, depending on what kind of mood I'm in.
krainer: I bring it into the office and say "the team needs to move on"
Ebon Wendigo: Fairly well, thank you
FuManchu: Quarter and slice
Nimrod6: Quarter and slice
2amp: don't eat it
Elf__Man: quarter and slice
Brykovian: I first quarter it ... then cut it into slices ... then remove the rind and any over-concentration of seeds ... then cut what remains into bit-sized chunks.
Chris Page: With a (big) mallet.
cowdog: Quarter and slice
rawdawg: normally
dkwd: Half, cut rings from middle to end, bisect rings
bigbadsteve: i drop it off the garage and let gravity cut it for me
ZombyDawg: quarter and slice
dmomo: Quarter and slice. When we wants it, we wants it now.
KenRude: Quarter & slice
erli: Cut the watermellon into more managable pieces and then remove the rinds
ciscokidnj: big round circles
mrspank: Quarter and slice.
Hoju: with a knife
Avatar_69: Quarter and slice
Shotmagnet: toss from tallest building available
kuhrusty: Drop from second-story balcony, and enjoy!

Quest22: Quarter and slice
LemonyFresh: Quarter and chomp
DaGen: I just dont.. I LOATHE watermelon..
POvidiusNaso: quarter and slice.
javelin98: Quarter and slice.
e.c.r.: smaller size - one slice down the middle and then partition like a pie - large size - cut in 2 - 3 inch rounds and then section
darthcliff: Quarter and slice
Dorque: Fill with vodka. Freeze. Tap.
djlg: Quarter & slice
GI Joe: Interesting question-- I cut it in "wheels," working from one end to the other.
skrutsch: slice big round circles
Otterdance: Just cut into wedges. Leave the rind on.
GrandpaDave: Quarter
matthew.marquand: quarter and slice if I'm short on time but I do like scooping better
obob: I'm starting to prefer the R. Lee Ermey way.
skelebone: Quarter and slice. Would one peel a watermelon like a lemon, as you suggest? Amended: I see -- I've not messed with seedless varieties, so whatever it is, I just quarter it up and get out the salt.
Randy Cox: Yep, Pokey, if it's a seedless watermelon, one way that grocers are advised to cut them is to cut away all skin and then just cut it into cubes. Doesn't work for watermelons with seeds in them.
Belash: no idea
jttm: Quarter
CDRodeffer: Quarter & slice.
Lord_Prussian: Just slice it up
CortexBomb: I generally don't. I'm not a big watermelon fan, so if I get some it's definitely not whole
Spielfreak: Cut it into 8 chunks, and then slice it.
puffinge: too much work, I'll have some ice cream.
chaddyboy_2000: I quarter and slice.
