Eric Haas: The number I thought of was (4*sqrt(21)+5)/4. The number I got was 42.
mschlat: 1 if a number means an integer (since (4n-5)^2 = 16n^2 - 40n + 25 which has a remainder of 1 when divided by 8). If I get funky and choose pi, all bets are off.
