¿Question #4331?
Randy Cox: Speaking of seeds: why is it that watermelons nowadays have an underlying taste of onion? It puzzles me.
ocdspectrum: Uh oh olfactory hallucinations....
BOBBYCAN: I've never noticed that.
Hendal: did not notice that, a lot of jewelry is made from watermellon seeds by the indians down here
Blott: I've never noticed any such thing. Perhaps the watermelons sold in your area are grown in fields that used to contain onions, or are shipped alongside onions.
mimem: They do? You need a second cutting board.
pwilz: I'm not familiar with this underlying taste of onions in watermelons. It puzzles me as well.
axeme: What kind of watermellons are you eating? I'd like to stay far away from those as possible.
ZeroZilla: THANK you! I thought it was just me.
Asmoridin: They all just taste like watermelon to me!
MichaelB: Did not know that
kingmaker fan: Huh?
DHEK: My watermelon tastes fine. Maybe yours is bad.
elirlandes: They do not.
Butterbane: Genetic Engineering
Eric Haas: Cross pollination
aleo09: haven't noticed.
interhawk: never noticed
KentuckyKid: I've not noticed. But I'll look into it and get back to you.
Leo-T: Try eating the watermelon BEFORE all those onion dishes.
Greedo: Hee hee... "Speaking of seeds".
herman_the_german: Bioengineering. You'll also notice they also have all those layers.
bigbadsteve: its a small, but important part of our plan for world domination
Nekura: Do you keep both together in your fridge? Do you still live in the Matrix?
scriptorum: Genetic engineering. You're going to grow a second head now.
brainrob: They do?
arkibet: Stop eating the burgers first.
xianrotide: Um, I would buy your watermelon somewhere else from now on.
Deeghter: Don't know what nuclear power plant you live at, but mine taste as always!
fFish: because they absorb scents from surrounding vegetables, due to their high fluid content. Get your grocer to put them further away from the onions.
skrutsch: I've never noticed that.
LemonyFresh: Because of the trees
vetinari7878: They do not have it, at least here in Europe.
Tushratta: How much else that you eat has an underlying taste of onion? Maybe it's not the watermelon.
djlg: I didn't mention seeds. Did you mention seeds? My watermelons taste like watermelon. I think yours are unripe.
erli: hmmm...I never noticed...
berserkley: too much sulphur in the soil
jttm: Wash the knife.
skelebone: I dunno, perhaps where they're grown or what they're fertilized with?
Lord_Prussian: Maybe they are grown near the onion patch.
puffinge: This happens to me everytime I use crack too.
chaddyboy_2000: They do?
CDRodeffer: Stay away from those genetically engineered orange ones coming out of the university down there, if you know what's good for you.
