¿Question #4334?
Randy Cox: OK, imagine you have a shower with two controls for hot and cold water. When they're off, they're in the "6 o'clock" position. Where do you turn each for the ideal water temperature (e.g. Hot: 7:30, Cold: 9:00)?
Derang3d: That still doesn't tell you how far you need to turn them, right? I think both of the nobs on my shower thingy need a full turn and then another 3/4 or so. Also idk really :).
RealGuest: I turn hot all the way and then cold to get to the right temperature. It's always different.
aleo09: 8:35
Woelf: I can't give clock positions without knowing the full range of motion - do they stop at 12, at 3, back at 6, or somewhere else? In any case, the hot would be at 3/4 of its full travel (minimum), while the cold would be 1/2 at most.
ricardofo: hot 10:00, cold 8:20
Spirit of 70: Hot 10:00, Cold 7:00.
Commandex: hot: 12 cold: 6
daveroswell: 6:38
ZeroZilla: Assuming 12:00 is full-on, Hot goes to 12:00 and Cold to between 9:00 and 7:00 depending on how long I've been in the shower.
Spatulaguy: Hot: 10:00; Cold: 8:30
ozjesting: This sort of "safe cracker" problem is exactly why I got a mixer.
Grubsnatcher: In my shower? I don't even turn the cold water on.
DHEK: It really depends on each individual shower because they vary widely.
monkeyrobot: Hot 8:00, Cold 8:00
bluebehir: Where is the maximum setting? How much pressure comes out at what rate of increase?
POvidiusNaso: Hot: 10 o'clock. Cold: 3 o'clock.
Brain: I'd have to fiddle with the controls
heavymetalhamster: Probably around 8pm for both.
sourwyrm: hot: 3 cold: 9
rawdawg: ok
MisterCranky: This question would have been so much cooler if you'd indicated whether hot or cold was the hour hand, and which the minute.
martin: Hot: 3:00, Cold: 9h00
vampywife: we'll turn the hot all the way around back to the 6, and the cold maybe to the 9, just a quarter turn or so
MartinTrouman: ??? after several attemps to visualize this question... I give up... it makes no sense
bigbadsteve: hot would go all the way, cold might get moved a little
brainrob: Depends whether the shower was fitted by a left handed plumber
stephensj23: Hot - 6:01 Cold - 6:00; I really need to adjust my thermostat.
Killermyth: I'll turn it to 9:32, my clock is broken.
darthcliff: Which way do the knobs turn?
puffinge: OK, imagine I'm unmoved by this question.
Tim Synge: Four.
ValJor: Depends on the season.
ZombyDawg: Hot: all the way on. Cold: until it feels good
djlg: Hot: 10:00, Cold: 8:00
scriptorum: Is it time for a shower already?
jttm: It really depends on the pressure, but I prefer a warm bath...
skelebone: Mine only has one control, and I set it in the middle. But also, the controls in your shower are a function related to where your water heater is set.
CortexBomb: This will be dependent on how hot the thermostat is set on the hot water heater. I like to take very hot showers, as in, turn one's skin deep pink hot, but I can't relay a universal setting that would make the water that hot for you or anyone else out there
Lord_Prussian: That's really confusing. I like a hot shower, but not as hot as most people, I think. Unless it's summer and I'm really hot, then tepid might be good.
chaddyboy_2000: Hot goes all the way back to 6, cold maybe ends up at 9.
Randy Cox: Hot 7:30, Cold 9:00. I'm said to like my shower to feel like rain.
CDRodeffer: Hot -- full open. Cold -- full closed.
