¿Question #4396?
Spielfreak: The 2004 Meeples Choice Awards were recently bestowed on three games: Power Grid, Ticket to Ride, and Goa. Are you comfortable with these selections? Are there other games you feel are more deserving of recognition?

BOBBYCAN: I suppose I'll just have to live with it.
Hendal: NOPE, how is heroscape not on that list, Ticket is the only decent game there, and more gateway then a favorite

Woelf: PG and TtR are good games. Goa supposedly is too, but I've never played it.

Felimid: How about: Settlers of Catan, Formula De Mini, Canyon, and Scrabble, for nonwargames, and Wings of War, Ace of Aces, Panzer Leader, PanzerBlitz, War at Sea, Victory in the Pacific, and Advanced Squad Leader, for wargames?

jtrleone: Ticket to Ride is not a Meeple game. I'm not sure the others are either.
DHEK: I don't know about Goa because I've not played it, but the other two are good games in my book. There might be other games also deserving of the recognition, but I don't really know what are the other candidates...

PsyJam: I don't think I'm qualified to give either good alternatives or a good debate for those alternatives. Goa, though, is OK but is not my favourite game. Power Grid is very good, but I haven't played it in a while, and TtR .. I simply haven't played. Those are 3 quite varied titles.

brainrob: TtR is overrated as a gamer's game ... Saint Petersburg would be a better choice

Favre4MVP: They're fine. I would have picked Maharaja and Blue Moon though.

puffinge: I haven't played Power Grid but I've heard good things about it. The other 2 are very deserving.

CortexBomb: I'm fairly comfortable with them. I definitely like the two heavy games and think they were standouts from last year. I'm not as down with Ticket, but I can understand why it would be recognized
CDRodeffer: Comfortable in the sense that I've only played one of them once. I think the Spielfreaks routinely ignore anything outside the non-euro genre, though, so I don't put too much weight in this award.
