Randy Cox: What's the farthest distance you've ever walked in a day? Farthest distance you've walked in the past five years?

pltinum: in a day? I guess somewhere between 30 and 50k.

bcooperok: The farthest distance I have ever walked was 2 miles in SF from Fisherman's Wharf back to my hotel.
Woelf: We walked upwards of 10-15 miles a day for several days in a row when we did our walking tour in Ireland a couple years ago.
Spirit of 70: 20 miles. In the last five years, three miles.
jessitron: Oh, probably five or six miles.
Randy Cox: Maybe four miles in a day. In the past five years, shorter than that.
ZeroZilla: 7 miles down Havasupi canyon (sp?) in Arizona. Recently, it's probably no more than 3 miles... I would guess at Cedar Point, OH. The amusement park... but you do a lot of walking there, it's pretty big.

mr. assist: last five years: village vanguard to 120th. alltime:15miles from broken down car to home. 2 in the morning the few cars that passed no one picked me up and I think it was raining allthough my mind might be adding that for affect.

marshalljansen: Hmm. I never kept track of things like distance. When visiting New York City I walked from the Port Auhority to Central Park, then walked from the park to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and then from there back across the Park to the Museum of Modern Art, then through the park some more until I got to Lexington and took the subway back to the Port Authority. No idea how far that was, but I walked all day long. In the past five years my longest contiguous walk was probably 5 miles.

Loquutus: 25+ miles on a backpacking trip with the Boy Scouts. Recently, I walked about 15 miles on a trail in a park in Philly.
ValJor: Walked? Probably not more than five kilometers. Now, on rollerblades I've done 128 km in a day. That feels good!

skelebone: I went hiking in the mountains of New Mexico and I believe we had some days that were 7-9 miles. I did that in 1999, but I walked a lot while I lived in Germany, as well.
CortexBomb: A solid 10 miles at least, and it was within the past 5 years. Basically, my car broke down on the expressway on the way to class and I walked to the nearest exit, which leads toward downtown Kazoo, and walked all the way down a rather long stretch of road to a friend's house. The total distance was a solid 10 miles at least.
Lord_Prussian: I haven't kept track. Probably a few miles. Some time when travelling, I'd imagine.
CDRodeffer: I've made some five or so mile hikes when caving, but I don't know if that's the longest.
chaddyboy_2000: I've probably walked at least 10 miles in a day within the last 5 years.
Spielfreak: I know I've completed 5 mile hikes while in Boy Scouts. Within the past five years, probably the 2+ mile loop we hiked through Bryce Canyon.
